Description
The Metro Vans were built in the U.S. from 1938 - 1975. Many of them were built so that the driver could stand or sit. This one is a survivor brought back to life by the very talented "Mr. Chips" aka Chip Keene is well known in the Kustom Kulture for his pinstriping and painting works. He has many other talents including custom fabrication, vintage motorcycle and more, but that is all in the back story of this image. Shot at Cars & Coffee in Naples, FL. Chip had driven the Metro from Maine, a trip made faster by the Corvette engine that replaced the Metro's original. My reaction to this vehicle was "I want it" a Metro that can do over 100 mph, how cool is that.

I would say that 100mph in this Metro would be pretty cool, too! Great capture and back story!

Thank you, Kay!! It is a Rat Rod and has hydraulics to lift it up when it is not parked.
