Description
A Honey Bee on a White Water Lily. The White Water Lily (Nymphaea odorata) is a floating aquatic plant with large, fragrant, white flower and flat round floating leaves. They are narrowly and deeply cut almost to the center, where the stem is attached. There is 1 flower to a stem from 2-6 inches across, and floating on the water. Flowers open in the early morning and close in the afternoon. Bees are attracted to water lilies like many other insects as a food source.
